The Wonders of WordPress

It is certainly no secret that the rise of WordPress as a CMS has revolutionized how content & site owners manage and maintain their sites. it is also no secret that web designers and agency LOVE WordPress because of it's ability to empower content owners to do the day to day heavy lifting with little or no training what so ever. Here are 5 simple reasons why WordPress is our CMS of choice:
1. Our clients actually like it!
Yes, I just said it. This is no secret. I can easily walk out on a limb and say that approximately 95% of our clients who have WordPress installed to power their content actually like it. The ability to deploy content on demand, the ability to upload news and announcements relatively in minutes and also, the freedom to change their design without losing their content has proven to be some of the most crucial.
2. Creating Custom Content is a Breeze!
As a development agency, the initial deployment of WordPress made it difficult to create custom content types, lists and data that fit exactly what our clients were looking for. Then, the PodsCMS team released their custom content type plugin which allowed for agencies like MJC to create and deploy custom content specific to our clients wants and needs.
3. Shopp!
Imagine having to create a custom e-commerce solution. We've done it. Needless to say, it wasn't fun. The Shopp plugin put us in a position to deploy e-commerce and digital goods websites with ease. A non-restrictive layout allows us to customize the look and feel and retain a good user shopping experience which innevitably results in increased profits for our clients which innevitably means increased profits for us. {insert smiley face here}
4. We Still Control How Pretty The Site Is...
Most CMS' aren't very fun. They use weird document types and unfriendly folder structures. To a client, this doesn't matter. They don't care what it takes to make it work, the end result... it needs to work. We are giddy about WordPress because it truly allows us to control the design without being too restricted to the limitations of the CMS. Noticed I said "too restricted" (not everything is 100%).
5. Well...
I couldn't really think of a 5 however, as soon as I do, I'll let you know.
